Bilingual Support:
We provide bilingual English-Spanish nurse case management to help improve understanding, reduce communication barriers, and support effective coordination throughout the claims process.

Clinical Expertise. Proactive Coordination. Personalized Service.
Nurse Case Management Tailored to the Needs of Each Claim:
Bilingual Case Management:
Bilingual English-Spanish nurse case management helps improve communication and understanding throughout the claims process. We support Spanish-speaking injured workers with treatment coordination, medical follow-up, work status communication, and return-to-work planning, while keeping all involved parties informed.
Field Nurse Case Management:
Hands-on case management for claims requiring direct involvement with the injured worker, healthcare providers, and treatment team.
Services may include attending medical appointments, coordinating treatment, communicating with providers, reviewing treatment recommendations, identifying potential barriers, following up on work status, and planning a return to work.
Telephonic Nurse Case Management:
Ongoing clinical coordination and case oversight are provided telephonically.
Our nurse case managers monitor treatment progress, communicate with injured workers and providers, follow up on recommended services, identify outstanding needs, and provide meaningful updates to the claims team.
Not every claim requires ongoing case management.
Hurtado Case Management is available for focused assignments when assistance is needed with a specific issue, provider, appointment, treatment recommendation, or other defined case-management need.
Task/Limited Assignment:
Supporting the Professionals and Organizations Behind Workers' Compensation Claims:
Insurance Carriers and Third Party Administrators:
We provide responsive clinical support to insurance carriers and TPAs managing occupational injury claims.
Our nurse case managers monitor the medical plan, coordinate with treating providers and injured workers, follow up on outstanding needs, and communicate meaningful developments so claims teams have a clearer understanding of treatment progress and next steps.
Claims Professionals:
Claims professionals manage many moving parts. We provide focused attention to the medical aspects of the claim.
Through clinical review, treatment follow-up, provider communication, and identification of potential barriers, we help provide the information needed to understand where the case stands medically and what may be needed next.
We respect the role of the claims professional and work as a collaborative clinical resource within the claims-management process.
Employers & Self-Insured Organizations:
We help employers remain informed about work status and return-to-work considerations while an injured employee progresses through treatment.
Our involvement may include monitoring restrictions, identifying issues affecting recovery, supporting communication regarding modified-duty opportunities, and helping coordinate the transition toward a safe and sustainable return to work.
For self-insured organizations, our services can be adapted to complement existing claims processes, reporting expectations, and program needs.
Public Agencies:
We work with cities, counties, school districts, public safety departments, and other government entities managing occupational injury claims.
Public-sector cases can involve specialized job duties, unique work restrictions, multiple stakeholders, and complex return-to-work considerations.
We provide consistent clinical oversight, treatment coordination, and communication designed to help keep the medical plan and the claim process organized.
